Job Purpose:
As part of the Executive Leadership Team, lead the Portals Business in all HR matters, providing strategic counsel on all people matters, ensuring that HR strategies, policies and procedures are being implemented correctly and effectively, and ensuring that the company is legally compliant with all HR related legislation.
You will ensure that the People Strategy is aligned to the business plan and will lead the 4 core areas:
* Operational and Transformational HR
* Organisational and Leadership Development
* Engagement and Wellbeing
* Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

Responsible for overseeing the HR functions of Overton, Bollate (Italy), Bathford with HR managers / partners at each location. Additionally, responsible for the training team located in Overton.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Professionally lead on HR and workforce matters. Providing professional advice to the Board on all aspects of people management and workforce strategies. Being the trusted advisor on all
* people issues to the Chief Executive and other members of the Board and senior leadership team.
* Take oversight of the company's culture. As the lead people professional you will act as a role model in championing the values and behaviours of the organisation.
* Take responsibility, as a member of the Executive Team, for corporate performance and the achievement of the companies strategic objectives.
* Leading the organisation's HR departments, including talent acquisition, learning and development, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, talent management HR information systems (HRIS) and financial planning of the department.
* Lead the analysis of employee feedback and data, with the aim of creating a better working environment and engaged culture.
* Act as an experienced point of contact and mentor for HR managers and advisors within the business on a daily basis, offering experience, support and advice.
* Overseeing the HR consequences of company restructures, redundancies and employee relations' issues.
* Maintaining succession plans for the business, along with exit strategies and hiring policies
* Develop strategy to attract, retain and develop talent, contributing to long-term goals around business and people development, including succession planning.
* Creating and managing the HR department's annual budget, ensuring that this is used effectively.
* Act as the Data Protection Officer for the Company, ensuring that breaches are reported within the legal timeframes.
* Act as the Responsible person for the pension scheme, ensuring compliance to regulatory requirements.
* Ensure effective communication strategies to keep all employees informed and engaged with key organisational issues.
* Act as the externally facing representative for HR for the organisation.
* Develop company wellbeing, health and counselling policies.
Qualifications and Experience
* Extensive experience in a senior HR role with a strong track record in HR generalist and change management roles
* Qualified CIPD Member
* Qualified to degree level
* Extensive experience of managing a team
* Thorough working knowledge of UK employment legislation and best practice HR processes.
* Proficient coaching and mentoring skills.
