The Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU) aims to deliver faster, longer, more frequent, and more reliable services across the north of England, from Newcastle, Hull and York towards Manchester and Liverpool via Leeds.
The aim of the TRU Alliance is to transform the East of Leeds route allowing people to travel faster, more reliably and in greater comfort between the North's great cities. Providing passengers with more choice, more seats, and better facilities on a safer, cleaner, more environmentally friendly railway.

The ideal applicant must be highly organised and thrive following processes and procedures, professional in attitude with the ability to build rapport easily with all different types of people at all levels.
In this role you will predominantly be responsible for managing site access to relevant compounds and sites. You will be required to monitor Covid-19 compliance from all staff on each shift and would liaise with the emergency services in case of an accident

What you will be doing:
* Ensure everyone accessing the site signs in and out, asking all necessary security questions, checking passes
* Assisting with visitors on arrival
* Ensure everyone accessing the site has completed the relevant Site Induction prior to arrival, otherwise instructing them to access the online induction platform via their own smart phone or using the on-site tablet, providing assistance where required.
* Distributing 'Proof of Induction' cards for operatives once they have completed the induction.
* Once installation of Donseed is complete, ensure all operatives also sign in via the Donseed system, including logging data required for fatigue management.
* Compile office attendance data to provide information for the related KPI to the Project Reporter
* Attend relevant weekly meetings such as Progress Development Reviews, Whiteboard, Feedback Friday etc.
* Report any Close Calls.
* Scanning of site paperwork and updating related electronic registers
* Maintain supply of hard copy paperwork / forms required by operatives on site.
* Provide cover of basic Office Manager duties as and when requested (i.e. leave / sick absence)
* Understanding Health & Safety requirements of the site
* Proficient at using Microsoft packages including Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio.

What we are looking for:

* Demonstrable experience in a professional Document Control department
* Experience of the Infrastructure / Civil / Engineering / Construction industry
* Some working knowledge of the Rail industry, including Network Rail working practices, would be advantageous
* Demonstrable knowledge and experience of operating IT systems, i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Access and/or dedicated Electronic Document Management Systems such as Aconex, ProjectWise etc
* Previous experience guiding and mentoring others
* A real can-do attitude, and professional outlook and positive influencer
