HR Advisor

In this role you will be working as part of the HR team in providing an excellent HR generalist service to our Manufacturing and Warehouse teams. You will work closely with the HR Business Partner Operations and the HR administrator in advising managers, recruiting operatives and temporary labour, managing assessments, organising our Occupational Health Service, and managing the relevant administration for these areas.

Ideally you have a level 5 CIPD qualification or equivalent, with good employment law knowledge. You will be communicative with a sense of humour, accurate and with good attention to detail, and a good level of English literacy. You are used to working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) and you are happy to learn to work with a variety of software (health & safety, payroll, time and attendance software, recruitment portal etc)

You will have some experience in a similar role, but are still willing to learn. An intensive induction is part of the contract. You will work as part of a team, with knowledgeable people around you, who you can turn to for support. You do need to have a 'can-do' mentality and be a completer finisher, who is used to juggling multiple requirements simultaneously.

With your colleagues you will aim to provide a first class HR services to the teams that are in your care. You will understand the demands of the business, the urgency of requests, and the times where you need to ask for back up/support/approval.

As the HR Advisor you will also deal with some of the administration to support the HR Business Partner Operations, and you work closely with the HR Administrator who provides this service for other parts of the business.

In monthly payroll preparations you follow a rigorous process to ensure faultless information for upload into payroll and you have the knowledge to understand what is behind the figures that lead to addition or deduction in payroll.

You are the organiser for our external Occupational Health service, who conduct medical surveillance of the teams you work with and deal with employee referrals, new starter assessments etc. You deal with private medical information following the GDPR rules and are able to manage this information with strict confidentiality.
