One of our global Law Firm clients has instructed on a new Finance Administrator to join their existing Tax and Partnership team. The focus of this role will be to provide financial and administrative support to the team and contribute to the overall smooth running of the Firm as a whole.
The role will involve a range of standard administrative duties such as arranging calls, diary management, submitting documents and managing correspondence, and drafting letters. You will also be required to assist with more financial duties. These include but are not limited to, preparing annual personal statements for partners, R185 forms and loan interest certificate reconciliation, along with the monthly preparation of global mobility and capital schedules for meetings, consultancy calculations and payment and assisting with keeping financial policy up to date. You may also be required to deal with Deloitte partner queries, renewing practice certificates, and doing administration around Tax payments to HMRC in January and July. Another part of the role will be to aid with International Tax duties. This will involve applying for certificates of residence (CoRs) from HMRC, and W-8 forms for US payers and all the emailing duties around this. You will also be required to arrange monthly payments from global institutions and aid in CoRs, POAs, and KYC procedures when needed.
The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who has a minimum of 6 months+ administrative experience within a Law Firm or partnership setting. The candidate must be able to work to strict deadlines and be proactive using initiative where necessary and be confident dealing with numbers. Discretion on sensitive and confidential matters is also essential, along with strong understanding of basic computer programs such as MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel. Understanding of Adobe, MS Visio would be advantageous.
The hours for this role are standard 9:30am-5:30pm with a hybrid working pattern, 3 days in the office and 2 from home. Salary range is up to £28,000
