My client are looking for an experienced Marketing and Manager to work closely with the director of external relations in developing the organisations communications strategy and coordinating marketing activities. To develop and be responsible for the organisations website, (design, content, architecture and navigation), commissioning much of the editorial content and ensuring that it remains up to date and on message.
The successful candidate will be / have :
Educated to degree level or equivalent level of experience.
Good knowledge of marketing and communications principles, tools and techniques
Highly IT literate with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office suite, websites and media and presentation software with the ability to design and produce brochures/magazines.
Excellent written communication skills in order to write web content, articles, newsletters and other promotional material and edit material produced by others.
Excellent oral communication skills in order to liaise with marketing colleagues, staff and local and national media on marketing and promotional matters.
Ability to evaluate marketing activities and generate ideas to improve their effectiveness.
Ability to work under pressure & meet tight deadlines.
Experience of creating marketing strategies or campaigns
Marketing experience or qualification Experience in using Adobe Photoshop,InDesign and Illustrator
Strong analytical, strategic and creative thinking skills, including clear knowledge and experience of marketing policy and practice
Ability to lead and manage staff and processes
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to relate well to people on all levels with sensitivity, tact and diplomacy and to build and sustain effective working relationships at all levels internally and externally and work collaboratively and proactively with senior colleagues across the organisation
Highly proficient ICT capability, numeracy and statistical skills; able to interrogate and apply inferences from data
Excellent command of written and spoken English
