Network HR are working exclusively with an established Energy & Utilities provider that are currently looking to appoint a HR professional to join the People Services Team - helping to provide a people focused service to their customers.

You will be responsible for supporting managers and colleagues with a wide range of employee relations activities and working in collaboration with the wider HR team to implement a value-added HR function, your focus will be on delivering transactional HR processes, compliance and managing employee relations.

Key accountabilities will include:
• Providing day to day employee relations activity and support ensuring accurate, effective, pragmatic and timely advice to managers and employees
• Acting as a one stop shop for all disciplinary, performance management and grievance cases
• Providing comprehensive support and advice to managers when managing Long Term Sickness
• Providing support with consultation in relation to Group activities such as; incoming and outgoing TUPE transfers, redundancy and employee terms and conditions
• Analysing and interpreting data from reports in respect of Employee Relations information held on our systems
• Ensuring relevant policies and procedures are relevant and providing clear guidance that represent the law and best practice
• Assisting the Employee Relations and HRBP Teams, in the planning and implementation of new initiatives and attending project groups when necessary
• Supporting reward queries and providing advice to managers and colleagues where appropriate on company pay guidelines, all aspects of reward and employee benefits
• Supporting the Reward Team with complex reward queries
• Completing job profiling using the Hay Grading system when required
• Managing the transactional elements of the Pay Review process
• Interacting and managing the relationships with reward suppliers e.g. Healthcare, Choices etc
• Managing the company car process in line with relevant Policy
• Coaching, developing and motivating junior team members on a day to day basic; creating a continuous improvement culture
• Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and legal HR requirements including Right to work, DBS, contractual rights and auditing requirements
• Highlighting and recognising service themes, trends (internal and external) and performance metrics in order to identify how different scenarios may impact on the business and make recommendations for moving forward
• Understanding of learning and development

Experience:
• CIPD qualified Level 5 or relevant experience in a similar role
• Extensive case management experience
• Exposure to a unionised environment
• Good working knowledge of employment law and policy management
• Ability to embrace and positively drive change
• Effective prioritisation and time management
• Strong verbal, written communication and listening skills
• Ability to build and establish effective relationships
• A strong customer service orientated approach
• Good planning skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in relevant computer applications
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team
