The Company & Role:

Our client is hiring for a Studio Manager to come and join their team in the Camden office. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the office. This is a central role that combines day-to-day management of the core operational functions of the business and PA support to the founding directors. It is a varied role that would suit a proactive, highly organised individual with excellent administrative and communication skills and good attention to detail to manage the studio based in London, and three related companies based in the UK, France and Australia.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the smooth running of the office and undertaking the relevant admin
  • Acting as a first point of contact – dealing with correspondence and phone calls
  • Direct PA support to the founding directors
  • Managing diaries and organising meetings and appointments
  • Booking and arranging travel, transport and accommodation
  • Managing databases and filing systems
  • Implementing and maintaining procedures/administrative systems
  • Liaising with staff, accountants, suppliers and clients
  • Collating and filing expenses
  • Producing documents, reports and presentations
  • Taking responsibility of accounts and budgets
  • Take care of monthly payroll and keep records organised
  • Process invoices and follow up with clients, suppliers and partners as needed
  • Manage project resourcing, ensuring projects are scheduled and staffed to deliver excellence
  • Supporting with HR and recruitment including approving holiday requests and onboarding
  • Acting as the point of contact for the tenants residing in studio rental property
  • Manage cleaning, maintenance and gardening contractors at the studio and rental property

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum two years’ PA/office management experience in a creative environment
  • Good planning, organisational and time management skills
  • Being a multitasker and working within tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A design sensibility and interest in architecture
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word
  • Experience leading, managing, and mentoring multiple project teams, including the ability to create and communicate clear and attainable project objectives and requirements
  • French-speaking would be highly beneficial
