JOB TITLE: Finance Assistant

HOURS: 8.30 a.m. to 5.15 p.m. (45 min lunch break)
START: ASAP
SALARY: £25,000 p.a. + financial support for accounting qualification

Our client is a rapidly growing business supplying information management solution to the Construction and related industries.
They are looking for a very eager and super hard-working individual to join the financial department. You will LOVE all things finance related and enjoy jumping into a dynamic and fast paced team!

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT EXCLUSIVE TO:
Responsibilities
- Maintain a fully functional Purchase Ledger system
- Process Purchase Ledger Invoices for payment
- Provide cost analysis and comparison reports when required.
- Check and verify expense claim forms.
- Process all payroll information to send on to external payroll company.
- Maintain all payroll records required within the company.
- Process and update transactions in Sage Accounting Software
- Assist in the preparation and production of reports for stakeholders.
- Support Credit Controller with chasing outstanding invoices when required.
- Generate invoices in the absence of the Credit Controller.
- Miscellaneous support and administrative activities including data entry and filing.
- From time to time, you may be required to take on additional tasks and responsibilities to support your role, your team colleagues, or other areas of the business.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:
- Conversant with Microsoft Office particularly Excel
- Part qualified in a recognised accounting body (AAT/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar role in a small or medium sized business
- Experience in construction or project related company
- Working knowledge of Power Bi
- Excellent numeracy and analytic skills
- Hard working and well-presented
- Able to work as part of a team.
- Time management, communication, and organisation skills
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
