Who you'll be working for:
Our client is a market leader in their industry. A fast-paced and rapidly expanding company that can provide exciting career opportunities. They are looking for a Contracts Administrator who knows JCT and NEC forms of contract well. Or a Quantity Surveyor someone who prefers the contractual side of the role and wants to use their relationship skills in a broader role within construction and project delivery.
The people you'll be working with:
Reporting to the current Commercial Manager you will be supported by a close-knit team.
What you'll be asked to achieve:
* To ensure key projects are delivered on time and on budget.
* To contribute to company objectives by delivering increased profitability.
* To develop procurement strategies to support Company objectives for growth.
In order to fulfil this you will be required to:
* Liaise with project managers and supervisors to determine project needs.
* Plan and coordinate the procurement of products and services for key projects.
* Select and approve suppliers in conjunction with quality assurance and meeting customer requirements for delivery, cost and quality.
* Build relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best terms without sacrificing quality or delivery times.
* Work closely with NEC and JCT forms of contract to ensure efficient delivery
* Monitor business trends to identify new products and services.
* Work closely with suppliers to reduce lead times and inbound logistics.
* Manage sub-contractor payments
* Ensure contractual compliance from subcontractors and suppliers with regards to quality, timescales and price.
* Assess total costs of project purchases.
* Work as an effective team member, build and maintain strong working relationships with peers, managers and customers.
This role would suit someone with:
* 5 years' experience within a commercial role
* Strong negotiation and commercial skills
* Analytical with an attention to detail; proficient in excel.
* Strong presentation skills
