Private PA Job Description

 

Marcilly Recruitment is seeking a high calibre Private PA with a minimum of four years working in a UHNW private household. You will be supporting a hugely personable, dynamic and extremely busy principal in a business and private capacity.

 

The principal has investments within luxury brands, lifestyle and hospitality, anyone who has previously worked with a principal within this space is hugely desirable.

 

The successful Private PA will be someone who is hugely personable, charismatic, loyal, engaging and capable of working in an extremely fast-paced environment. They are looking for someone who is proactive and has a flexible approach. The principal is very family orientated, but also leads a very busy life so she needs someone who will be a real right hand and assist her in all areas of her life and running the household. She is looking for someone who will be able to bring something to the table, and bounce ideas off when necessary.  

 

This is a hugely exciting opportunity to work alongside someone who truly values their staff and is looking for someone who will be a joy to have around the house. They are looking for someone who has demonstrated a close, long-term relationship with their previous employer. Discretion and professionalism are also key because of the close working relationship and high-profile nature of the role.

 

Private PA Responsibilities:

  • Diary management for a hugely busy principal
  • Inbox management and drafting of correspondence on behalf of the principal
  • Property management of multiple properties. Principally their London home, ensuring their household runs smoothly.
  • Recruitment of household staff and management of staff, including rotas, HR, holiday, sickness etc.
  • Lifestyle management
  • Gifting
  • Shopping
  • Event management – the family like to entertain
  • Lots of creative problem solving and making amazing things happen at the last minute
  • Managing the household budget
  • Organising international travel, including travelling with the principal when necessary
  • Project management – this can range from business projects or personal projects such as property renovations.

 

Private PA Requirements:

  • A minimum of four year’s private household experience. The successful candidate must have worked in an UHNW household
  • Longevity in employment
  • Someone who has been household based
  • Property management of multiple properties
  • Someone who is outgoing, engaging and personable
  • A flexible, can-do attitude
  • Someone who enjoys working in a private household
  • A hugely efficient Private PA who is able to juggle a demanding workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Working on a Mac using MS Office
  • A little black book
  • Creative problem skills – you will often be required to source weird and wonderful things

 

 

Private PA Benefits:

  • Salary: £50K-£70K depending on experience
  • Benefits: generous discretionary bonus; pension; medical; cycle to work; 25 days holiday + bank holidays; brand discounts; travel
  • Hours: Monday to Friday 9am – 6pm
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Location: household based – central West London

 

This is NOT a 24/7 role, but some flexibility is required as is necessary with this kind of role. Flexibility goes both ways though, as the principal believes the job can be done anywhere depending on the task at hand.
