Finance Administrator (Construction)

Employment type: Permanent, full-time
Location: Milton Keynes.
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm.
Salary: GBP24,000 basic salary plus uncapped bonusDue to continued growth and success, my client is now seeking a Finance Administrator with bookkeeping and KPI reporting experience. You will be working closely with and reporting to the MD and will be helping with delivering the financial controls and office assistance to produce increased revenue and facilitating growing construction operations. This position is perfect for someone looking to progress to a Finance Manager in a year's time.

Responsibilities

Prepare management accounts / KPI reports on a monthly basis
Maintaining accurate records of staff and sub-contractor daily attendances
Prepare & submit the monthly payroll functions
Manage the sales ledger & credit control
Manage the supplier ledger & make payments to suppliers
Reconcile the monthly bank statements
Prepare & submit CIS Returns & statements
Prepare & submit quarterly VAT Returns
Ensure taxation liabilities are met by due date
Work with the Company Accountant to prepare the year end fully reconciled set of accounts
Dealing with queries
Take incoming calls and messages in an efficient, welcoming and professional manner
Provide administrative support to our customers via email and phone
Procuring materials online, chasing suppliers and deliveries
Managing a small fleet of company vehicles (insurance, MOT, servicing, repairs)
General office management, ad hoc general administrative duties within the team

Experience/ Skills Required

Degree level qualified
You must be an experienced bookkeeper / accountant with a sound and strong understanding of accounts up to management accounts stage.
You must be an absolutely self-motivated person.
You will be very articulate over the phone and in person and an effective communicator. You should be able to demonstrate excellent written and telephone communication skills.
Computer knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
Financial systems software experience.
