Job Title: PA to Headmaster

Location: Andover

Hours: 37.5 hrs per week - Monday to Friday

Salary: GBP30,000

Role information:

Active Staff is delighted to be recruiting for this prestigious local educational setting, with beautiful Idyllic grounds. We are seeking a PA to the headmaster to provide administrative support, so that the headmaster can concentrate on his role.

Duties and responsibilities:

* Maintain the Headmaster's diary and arrange all his appointment

* Dealing with incoming mail and emails, ensuring all queries are processed and actioned

* Draft routine correspondence to staff and parents on the Headmasters' behalf

* Complete confidential tasks and follow up on confidential issues of behalf of the Headmaster

* Sending our written correspondence, ensuring accuracy and consistency

* Maintain and keep secure all pupil files

* Manage the submission of pupil reference to senior schools

* Arrange agendas, venue and refreshments for internal meetings, co-ordinate attendance and circulate papers

* Organise travel arrangements for the Headmaster

* Monitor and respond to telephone calls and enquiries on behalf of the Headmaster

* Responsible for health and safety and security for visitors

* Attend and minute meetings as required by the Headmaster and Governors

* Assist and meet prospective parents either by appointment or at School Open Days

* Assist in organisation and administration of social events such as, School Plays, Carol Services and Prize Giving

* Assist the School Office team with routine office procedures

* Manage ceremonies, presentations, and special awards

* Filing includes confidential documents

* Assist with Chapel administration

* Fulfil any other duties as requested

The successful candidate will have the following:

* A level or equivalent, at Grade C or above.

* Confident Microsoft Office user

* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

* Excellent telephone manner

* Effective communication skills whilst demonstrating integrity and discretion

* Work to tight deadlines

* Flexibility to occasionally work later or at weekends if necessary
