A brilliant opportunity has arisen for an HR Assistant to join a leading finance firm located in Canary Wharf on an initial 6-month FTC. This role will start remotely, then you'll be working in the office 2 days a week from September.  This is a new position that has become available due to increased internal recruitment volumes, upcoming salary/bonus reviews and various other projects.  My client is looking for an experienced HR Assistant who is able to hit the ground running, work autonomously and take ownership of various HR-related tasks. To be successful you will ideally be immediately available or on a 1-2 week notice.

What you'll do:

  • Manage the recruitment process from the initial briefing through to offer and onboarding plans
  • Conduct telephone screenings and interviews via video
  • Actively encourage and support the application of candidates from diverse backgrounds ensuring all processes are inclusive
  • Assemble monthly HR reports e.g. attrition, headcount and recruitment activity
  • Provide generalist HR guidance, advice and support on terms and conditions of employment and HR policies and procedures
  • Support the administration and reporting for the annual bonus and pay reviews
  • Compile all monthly payroll data
  • Ensure that the appropriate authorisation forms are raised for all HR costs
  • Ensure invoices are properly coded and authorised
  • Support as necessary with ad hoc projects and day-to-day requirements of the HR team

What you'll need;
  • CIPD Level 5 - desired
  • 3 years + experience working in HR
  • Attention to detail and excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate appropriately with all levels in the company
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to take control of projects autonomously
  • Familiar with employment law and HR best practice
