Financial Accountant

We are currently working with an International law firm who are looking to continue with the growth of their new London office by hiring a qualified Financial Accountant.

The role will head up the whole UK accounting function and requires an individual who enjoys an autonomous role who can grow with the London office. You will find yourself generating budget and cashflow reports, monthly & annual statutory reports and surveys), corporate tax and VAT returns, performance reports for the London/UK operations as well as handling WIP management meetings and liaising with banks.

Reporting into the overseas based Finance Director you will need to have a clear understanding of how an International law firm operates and the different cultures you will inevitably encounter.

With this in mind, candidates must be ACCA/ACA qualified and have exposure to both management accounting currently within an international law firm. You will have

• Excellent working knowledge of Excel, macro skills preferable
• Knowledge of UK tax reporting, and preparation of statutory accounts, budget maintenance would be an advantage
• Strong compliance knowledge, being the COFA is an added bonus.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
