We're on the lookout for an experienced Logistics Administrator to join our well-established client based in Loughborough.

About the role:

As a Logistics Administrator, your main responsibility is to ensure goods are despatched to Client warehouses and ensuring cost effective transportation and professional hauliers are selected where freight forwarders are not stipulated.

Other responsibilities will include:

* Ensure goods are despatched to the correct destination as stipulated by our clients

* Liaising with production, purchasing and projects to ensure on time delivery is maintained. Gathering relevant information from Production orders, sales account managers, and the client if necessary.

* Coordinate all "out of the EU" despatches.

* Ensure all costs are recorded and information given to sales account managers to enable full costs are recovered for transport. (e.g. works deliveries)

* Ensure all goods are despatched with paperwork and no goods leave without your prior knowledge

* Liaise with freight forwarders to provide POD's when requested by the clients.

* Pass off all haulage invoices and ensure that they are costed to the correct job number.

* Ensure goods delivered are packed in a manner to ensure safe transport to market

* Check that all goods delivered have been through our quality systems whether made in house or by a third-party supplier.

* Provide all the necessary documentation to enable goods to be transported to any location.

* Keep documented reports that log all despatches from the companies so that we can ensure at any time that full deliveries have been made.

About You:

Do you have previous experience working as a Logistics Administrator? To be considered for this role, you must have had had similar responsibilities to this one, be ready to hit the ground running and be confident juggling a varied and challenging workload.

The details:

This role is paying a generous GBP9.15 per hour, is full time - 40 hours per week and is to start asap.

This position is available for a month and then there's possibility for it to be extended further. It's office based and there are Covid precautions in place for everyone's protection.
