HR Assistant - GBP30k - GBP35k + excellent bens + prospects

Our client:

An internationally renowned SME engineering company who continue to grow at a rapid pace. As part of their expansion & process improvement there now exists a new role for an experienced HR professional to join the team.

Ideal candidate?

We are looking for a CIPD qualified candidate with recent working experience working within a HR department. It is essential that you comfortable working within an SME operation - in this context that means being hands on & working across all the HR tasks. You will have experience of reviewing current HR policies & procedures & improving where needed.

Summary:

Reporting into the HR Manager this role will play an integral part by supporting to wider function with various HR administrative tasks.

The successful candidate's core duties and responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the day-to-day operations of the HR department;

• Work closely with Payroll colleagues on reconciliations and recovery

• Providing administrative support on a wide range of HR aspects such as absence, sickness and onboarding;

• Preparing new contracts of employments and conducting right to work checks

• Keeping employee records updated, process documentation and prepare HR reports as required

• Ensure policies and procedures are kept updated in line with current legislation and/or business requirements

• Support with HR projects when required

• Minutes in meetings and some first line advice on areas such as grievance, investigation and outcomes

• Provide support to the other HR related departments such as payroll and recruitment when required.

Essentially, the ideal candidate will be able to think on their feet, work well independently and in a team, and be a positive influence on the overall HR function. The right person will also have an acute awareness and ability to deliver excellent customer service in a helpful and friendly manner.
