My client is a manufacturer and distributor of commercial & Industrial machines and they are seeking an experienced Office Manager to run a small but busy international sales office in the Southampton area.
This is a fantastic opportunity to an experienced Office Manager to run a Sales Office team ensuring the internal sales office team work collaboratively with the external sales team, this position will manage the day to day running of the UK and Export Sales teams as well as the Service and Spares operation.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
* Manage the day to day operations of the internal sales office team
* Deal with customer and sales enquiries by phone and email
* Assist in processing orders when required, dealing with warranty claims and customer complaints
* Ensuring all UK & Export orders received are processed accurately and efficiently
* Motivate, provide training and support to the internal sales team to ensure they are working to their best ability and efficiency and ensuring collaboration between departments to meet customers needs and expectations
* Work with outside transport carriers to ensure we receive best costs and services.
* Issuing rebate reports to the customers. Agree rebate requests (Invoices) to turnover reports and contracts.
* Monitoring, preparing and reporting of data for business KPIs
* Work and support the Executive Director, UK Sales Manager and French Sales Manager on customer contracts and tenders
* Involvement with the Senior Management team on business strategy
Skills & Experience Required
* Experience of managing and leading a sales office team or similar
* Experience of Import/ Export and movement of goods & materials
* Previous experience of working on international trade
* A thorough, organised, detailed and proactive, hands-on approach to work.
* High level of literacy. Strong grasp of English language, written and spoken.
* Additional language skills will be advantageous - such as French, German, Spanish, Russian.
* Strong IT Competence with all Microsoft applications + ERP computer system
