About the role of HR Business Partner
You'll be the foundation for talent at Avis Budget Group, acting as a trusted resource for employees and internal partners. Our HR team is known for delivering tangible business improvement across the fast-growing global organization and you're at the front seat of that.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering the People agenda for your internal client group. Supported by several COE's, you will provide pragmatic, commercial and employee focused advice as a trusted partner, ensuring there is a strong alignment between local needs and the overall Avis Budget Group culture, people strategy and process.
As a HR Business Partner, you will enjoy a varied role and you will have a wider range of interactions across the business at all levels, on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic and operational support for your client group, and ensure HR compliance from both a legal and company policy perspective
Serve as an internal business partner; identifying and analysing areas of people improvement to drive engagement and productivity. Deliver on these areas through comprehensive HR programs, initiatives, and solutions to the functional areas
Undertake complex employee relations case management in line with UK legislation
Act as an Agent of Change for HR / company initiatives, working to embed any transformation, anticipate and overcome issues and proactively suggest solutions
Work with managers to drive talent development within their teams and areas; undertaking a full talent review, aligned with the annual succession planning process - and ensure identified actions are executed
Work collaboratively and effectively as part of the wider HR team, share learnings and best practice across geographies, and functional COE's
Coach, train and mentor managers to drive self-sufficiency and increase their own capability and expertise in a number of areas that include talent development and succession planning, employee relations, performance management, wellbeing and engagement
Lead the execution and implementation of any required structural changes in line with UK legislation and practice, considering any organisational design principles
Actively provide high quality feedback and coaching to managers, peers and client group
Requirements:
CIPD qualified or equivalent experience
Experience of partnering with functional leaders
Proven track record as an HRBP or Senior Business Partner with significant experience operating as an HRBP to a senior stakeholder group up to and including board level. You should be able to confidently debate issues in an engaging and persuading manner
An up to date working knowledge of employment law
Experience working in a matrix organization
Unquestionable integrity / demonstrable respect for others
Financial and commercial awareness, with strong analytical skills and an excellent aptitude for developing innovative solutions to complex problems
Planning, prioritizing, persevering and delivering improvements to achieve objectives within timescales
Ability to initiate, develop and implement effective strategies with clear goals and to make clear, informed, appropriate and timely decisions together with an ability to challenge poor performance
