Job Title: Technical Administrator

Location: Bristol

Crest Nicholson's South West division are now looking for a Technical Administrator to join the Technical team, working from our Bristol office. This would be an excellent opportunity for an experienced Administrator or document control with experience in supporting Engineering, Design and Construction teams, with an interest in the New Homes Development sector.

Duties will include:

* Support the team with technical appraisals, abnormal costings of potential development land are provided within required timescales..

* By assisting as requested with strategic land acquisitions and Planning Appeals including strategic technical studies, negotiating with statutory Authorities, instructing Consultants and obtaining/vetting their reports.

* Support the administration of Design programmes, including the management of the production information in line with the agreed design programme to ensure that the company meets its business objectives

* Technical and Services budgets including the management of the production information and service procurement against the agreed budgets to ensure that the company meets its business objectives

* Provide feedback to the Technical Managers in respect of technical design matters encountered during construction.

* Maintaining a general awareness of current material and construction research and making recommendations or giving warnings as appropriate.

Applicants must have:

* Strong technical drawing and document control experience

* Experience within a similar company and environment, e.g. Engineering, Design, Planning, Architecture or Construction

* Solid Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge - able to report, create formulas

* Previous use of document control systems (4Projects), PDF and/or DWF file types.

* Plan and drawing scale awareness; awareness of industry consultant disciplines

* Able to multi-task and work well independently

* Able to take the initiative

* Meticulous approach to work, strong attention to detail

* Good time management and prioritisation skills

* AutoCAD experience is highly desirable
