We are currently recruiting for an experienced, customer driven Receptionist to join an award-winning hotel in North Devon. The successful candidate will be joining a friendly team and will have the opportunity to develop their career.
The ideal Receptionist will have previous experience within a similar environment and have a flexible approach to duties.
What will you be doing?
* Ensure a warm, courteous, and professional manner when communicating with customers.
* Ensure all guests' needs are handled quickly and efficiently so achieving the high standard of customer service
* Ensure maximum bedroom occupancy using yield management practices as directed by Hotel Reception management team.
* Input hotel reservations efficiently and complete all administration procedures accurately.
* Ensure all corporate bedroom bookings are attached to the correct company profile.
* Process all cancellations and no shows in line with company policy and billing instructions
* Ensure all accounts are correct for presentation on departure and receive payment or process other methods of settlement.
* Carry out all cash handling procedures as trained.
* Report any guest comments or complaints to the relevant manager to ensure customer satisfaction.
* Carry out other duties as identified from time to time, this job description reflects the current situation, but is subject to change.

* Well presented at all times
* To demonstrate initiative and to be seen as a helping hand throughout the resort
* Being flexible with the ability to adapt to change should there be an urgent requirement to break away from their set routine and being able to cope under pressure and deal with last minute requests and changes
* A methodical and organised approach with keen attention to detail
* Friendly and helpful approach to dealing with queries
* Flexible working to assist with out of hours events from time to time
Additional Information:
You will be required to work a shift pattern which includes weekends.
