Your new role
You will be dealing with the day to day administration and processing stage progressions of both PCNs and FPNs to ensure a high recovery rate and identify and report to senior management of errors in the issuing of notices working across the council, the local community and the council's partners in delivering the Southend 2050 vision.

You will also manage NRSWA permit applications ensuring that the only deemed permits that have occurred have been as the result of technical issues and to ensure that the aims of the Traffic Management Act are adhered to.

What you'll need to succeed
You'll need to work efficiently and timely to meet all relevant statutory and Corporate timescales relating to permits, PCN and FPN progressions. This will include all aspects of the PCN recovery process including working with external partners such as Enforcement Agents for recovery of warrants and vehicle recovery companies for the removal of persistent evaders vehicles.
You will need to ensure the timely administration and coordination of street work permit applications including the provisional advance applications for major works and permit applications to ensure a coordinated approach to minimise traffic disruption and inconvenience to businesses and residents.

You will also need to administer variations on and add works comments to permits. To analyse and agree Permit modification requests. Issue job sheets for site inspections to check works duration and compliance within permit scheme.
