Club Manager / Head of Operations - £32,500 - WEST SUSSEX

We are looking for an experienced Manager to oversee the running of the club. Ideally you are passionate about sport and someone who can turn their hand to anything.
Hours
Up to 40 hours per week, Monday - Sunday (on a rota basis) – a minimum of 4 days each week. Both full time and part time candidates will be considered.
Responsibilities:
• You will be a proactive team member, able to supervise our office, grounds, bar & cafe staff, ensuring that work is carried out to the highest standards.
• Overseeing payments to suppliers, the raising of invoices and managing the payroll; • Build lasting, professional relationships with members and their guests. • Ensure Health and Safety protocols are up to date. • Management of HR for all WWC employment matters (including supervision and training). • Ongoing liaison with the individual committees for each of the sports we offer and with our coaching team. • The design and implementation of income generating opportunities for the Club, with an understanding as to how they would be marketed, delivered and sustained. This would include sponsorship, hospitality, membership enrichment, functions, events and other promotions.
Requirements
• Experience of a customer focussed business;
• An understanding of a sports club environment;
• Strong people management and organisational skills;
• Versatile and flexible approach, showing common sense and a willingness to “muck in”;
• General numeracy and familiarity with management accounts;
• Good verbal and written communication skills and strong computer literacy;
• Possess a problem-solving mentality with the ability to remain calm under pressure;
• Ideally you would have experience of a sports and leisure environment and understand the ethos of a members’ Club, that operates as a CASC and a CIC
