An international firm, with well appointed offices, situated in the heart of the City, seeks a permanent full time Revenue Controller.  Reporting in to the Assistant Revenue Manager, your role will be busy and varied.
Brief overview of duties:

  • Accountable for the billing/revenue generation process
  • WIP management for a portfolio of partners in the London and international offices. Generating WIP reports to partners and fee earners in London and international offices.  
  • Face to face liaison with partners and fee earners in London and conference calls with Partners in other offices to discuss billing related matters.
  • Action write offs, transfers, disbursement queries and closing files.  
  • Investigating and resolving queries in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring bills are prepared in accordance with client agreements and the Firms' processes 
  • Ensuring adherence to Solicitors Accounts Rules and UK and EC VAT regulations where appropriate.
  • Effective liaison with Management Accounts, Credit Control and Cashiers teams to provide a seamless service from the Revenue team. 
  • Ensuring all new employees are set up eg qualification dates/years qualified/charge out rates 
  • Ad hoc tasks / projects from time to time

To be successful in the role you will need to possess the following skills and attributes:

  •  Extensive experience of working within a revenue control and/or billing function in a law       firm.
  •  Technical skills must include a good understanding of SAR and VAT rules, preferably with knowledge  of multi currencies  
  • High level IT literacy, in particular Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word etc) 
  • Excellent understanding of legal billing functionality preferably within either Aderant or Elite 3E/Elite Enterprise.
