Office Guru - Kingsland Pre-Prep

Chelsea, London

£35,000 DOE

The Plot

If working for one of the most dynamic, creative and unique companies in London is one of your goals, then you may have found your calling. United in the desire to push boundaries and escape box-ticking culture, Rocket Productions is turning Early Years education, as we know it, on it’s head and we need you to step onto centre stage!

Our Hero/Heroine

You will be a true all-rounder, with unrivalled organisation skills and a head for faces (there are lots of them), names (there are even more of these) and creating a good vibe (we are known for it)!

You will support one of our Heads, the team of teachers and our school community all from a beautiful setting. This is no small task and you are the glue that brings everyone together! That may mean you have to deal with a grazed knee, a tantrum or two and maybe even don the cape of School Counsellor.

You will be self-assured and charismatic with the ability to be fair but firm (think good cop/bad cop but less NYPD and more Miranda Priestley’s Assistant).

You MUST have a sense of humour for this role and remain calm and present, even when the phones are ringing off the hook, small people are running around and you are in the thick of planning our renowned Summer Festival!

You are highly trusted by staff and clients alike and they rely on you to smooth things out, make their day easier and find a solution.

A team player (cliché but vital) you are committed to excellence, recognise the value of your work  and are proud of your contribution.

The Gig

Cast off the image of an old school Registrar or stuffy school office and think Front of House for the coolest restaurant/theatre/research lab/events company in town, with sights set to infinity and beyond.

As Office Guru you will ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the company’s flagship school from the Office and work with the Head and Deputy Head to make sure the school is an unsinkable ship.

What does that look like? The short of it - diary and event management, communications, strong customer service awareness and the ability to juggle many tasks at once, including making a mean Cappuccino, but the role has many responsibilities and you will be expected to don many hats and hit the ground running.

Discrete and with a knack for reading people, your opinion matters in this company - we always welcome that extra pair of eyes and your input.

The Grand Finale

If you can demonstrate a confident blend of army-like organisation, MI5-like memory for names and faces and you can bring a fresh and creative edge to being the People’s Champ whilst remaining unflappable, we need you and you need us! With an extensive company culture initiative, school holidays and working with some of the cheeriest people in town (kids & staff) this really is a fantastic opportunity. This role doesn’t come around too often so this is your chance to become part of a close-knit team that is leading the charge in changing the face of education and creating a revolution of this industry via style, creativity and artistry.
