ROLE PROFILE
Brand Energy & Infrastructure Services have a requirement for an experienced Interim HR Manager to join their Lyndon SGB division, based from the Head Office in Birmingham.
Brand Energy: With operations around the world, Brand Energy and Infrastructure Services provides integrated specialty services to the global energy, industrial, and infrastructure markets.
Lyndon SGB: The largest and best provider of temporary access in all regions of the UK.
Note: The position is initially ~6 month interim however there is the possibility it can be made permanent for the right professional.
JOB PURPOSE
Acts as a HR business partner, by actively contributing to the successful implementation of the HR business plan across the business unit(s) across UK & CI. Role is expected to provide proactive strategic and operational HR leadership to support achievement of the objectives within each business. Identifies and anticipates HR needs across the countries, prioritises and effectively communicates them to business unit leadership teams and the corporation for collaboration and solution development.
Reporting to the Divisional Managing Director, the HR Manager - UKCI will provide leadership, direction, development and coordination of the human resources initiatives for all the different lines of business. Proactively supports the HR strategy and influences key stakeholders to do the same.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead, coach and develop the divisional HR Team to optimise HR support to the businesses at both strategic and operational level
* Provide coaching, development and a framework of support to the leadership team to achieve the people management strategies and objectives to support the business plan
* Works with the management teams, to assess talent, create manpower plans for both craft & non-craft labour, prepares qualified succession candidates and manages development & succession plans
* Coach management teams on themes relevant to their professional development and effective teamwork
* Manage the change agenda in relation to culture, streamlining & transformation to develop effective organisation structures, processes and programmes considering both cost reduction and investment opportunities
* Deliver on global programmes and initiatives ensuring consistency across all businesses and compliance with UK legislation and competitive practice
* Ensure the HR team leads and delivers on 'collective' programmes such as performance reviews, recruitment, training, organisation change, redundancies, re-deployment and working with trade unions
* Ensure that employee / industrial relations issues are well handled and a positive climate is maintained, while recognising the need for change and cost constraint
* Lead Employee Relations initiatives that support understanding of Code of Conduct, legal and regulatory compliance, and all other company-wide program or policy initiatives.
* Assists in the investigation of harassment, discrimination and other charges
* Adheres to Code of Conduct and Business Ethics standards
* Works closely with Legal on Settlement Agreements, Claims, and Litigations
* Provides leadership in ensuring due process in addressing performance issues and consistent disciplinary action
* Manage all compensation and benefit requirements (including annual policy renewals) from a competitive market advantage and provide guidance to the businesses
* Provision and analysis of reports & statistics for key decision making
* Ensure HR processes & practices are adapted to support business performance & comply with legislation
* Lead the implementation of the merit, bonus and performance review processes across all businesses
* Support global projects & assignments and work with other HR colleagues on various projects, as required

PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
* 10+ years of experience in progressive HR roles that includes exposure in the following areas: employee relations, staffing, organisational development, compensation, training, benefits, safety, communications and planning
* MCIPD Qualified
* Senior level HR experience with a strong generalist background within a multi-site construction / engineering / industrial services / manufacturing sector business
* Experience of leading a geographical dispersed team
* A natural leader with experience of coaching high level management
