Seasonal Visitor Experience Assistant (retail and customer service roles)
x12 Fixed term seasonal contracts are available until the 5th of September 2021, with potential to be extended to Halloween or Christmas.

We are Twycross Zoo, an award-winning conservation charity and rapidly growing visitor attraction, and pre-Covid19 government restrictions we were attracting 500,000 visitors each year. We're at the forefront of conservation, education and research, and have a strong commitment to our award-winning education programme which aims to increase the level of awareness, knowledge and understanding about the animals and their plight in the wild.
The Role - Visitor Experience Assistant (retail and customer service roles)
As a Visitor Experience Assistant, you'll provide an engaging and informative experience for all visitors, ensuring they always receive a high standard of customer service. Your duties will vary depending on the role allocated but may include:
* Carrying out tasks across the commercial operation including admission pay booths, retail outlets including stock replenishment, customer enquiries and park presentation
* Offering information to visitors on the venue and its products, including memberships, adoptions, events and offers
* Achieving targets set by the business, including gift aid and upselling
* Cash handling, operating a till accurately and efficiently and adhering to cash procedures
The Package
As a Visitor Experience Assistant (retail and customer service roles), you'll benefit from:
* Pay rate between GBP7.15 and GBP8.91 per hour (in line with national minimum/living wage rates)
* Staff membership card giving you free entry to the Zoo on your days off and discounts in our retail and food outlets
* Allocation of free tickets to give to friends or family
* Uniform
* Free onsite parking
Successful applicants will be employed on a zero hour contract up to 5th September 2021 with the possibility of this being extend to Halloween or Christmas.
Our Requirements
* Access to some form of private transport is essential as local public transport timetables are not fitting with hours of work
* A friendly and enthusiastic attitude with a passion for delivering excellent customer service
* A flexible approach to tasks and hours
* Punctual, reliable, and have the ability to work effectively as part of a team and unsupervised
Whilst Twycross Zoo is an equal opportunities employer, please note that this role will require a level of fitness suitable for being on your feet all day, as well as lifting and carrying of goods.
Interviews and Start Date
Should your application be progressed beyond an initial telephone interview, you'll need to be available for a face-to-face interview on either Thursday 13th of May (preferred) or potentially Sunday 16th of May.
Successful applicants will be required to attend an induction on either the 21st or 24th of May followed by training, and will then commence employment on the main rota from the 29th of May.
