St Michael's Catholic School are now recruiting for a Pastoral Support Administrator / Transition Mentor in Aylesbury.

St Michael's Catholic School requires its Pastoral Support Administrator to be someone who is eager and committed to supporting pupils' education. To support all students especially the vulnerable students within the school, ensuring their ability to access education is maximised as far as possible.

You will be promoting and safeguarding the welfare of students at the school and will need to act as an appropriate role model for young people.

Some of your duties will include;

To manage the day-to-day administration of the pastoral care of students
To support individual students experiencing emotional difficulties, disaffection, lack of confidence
Support the key stage leader in the monitoring of Pupils on a Pastoral Support Programme
Be responsible, as directed, for communicating with home about pastoral, behaviour and wellbeing issues
To take a lead role in managing and supporting students who are transitioning from primary to secondary school
You will need the following;

Excellent interpersonal skills
To be capable of liaising with a wide range of people
English and Maths GCSE higher pass or equivalent
Experience of working with and mentoring young people
Experience of working in an educational environment?????????????????????
