Job Title: Parts Sales Advisor

Location: Bentham, LA2 7LW

Salary: GBP18,000 - GBP26,000 per annum

Position: Full Time, Permanent (8.30-17.00 Monday -Friday)

Due to expansion and a high level of work we are looking for a new member of our Parts Sales Team.

This isn't a commission based role as we value building customer relationships and offering good service equally as highly as sales figures.

Atkinson Vos is an established independent dealer selling refurbished second-hand Mercedes Benz Unimogs and new and used spare parts as well as our own range of specially developed Unimog accessories.

We have an international customer base so it's just as likely that you'll be speaking to someone from the USA or Russia as from the UK.

Our premises are in Bentham, a small market town 30 mins from the M6.

About the role:

• Deal with customer enquiries in a friendly, timely manner by email, phone & face-to-face
• Offer advice to assist with fault diagnosis with a view to maximising profit for the business
• Support colleagues in listing parts on our own website & eBay
• Assist with booking in all deliveries and arrange for parts to be put away
• Organise packing of parts to be dispatched
• Liaise with couriers, hauliers & freight forwarders
• Place orders with suppliers using internal system
• Follow up on shortages
• Housekeeping in goods in/out area & stores
• Support our efforts to source alternative parts from UK & overseas suppliers
• Assist in keeping internal stock systems up to date
• Assist with used parts stocktake at month end
• Cover for colleagues during absences

About you:

• Ideally minimum 2 years experience of parts sales in an Agricultural, heavy vehicles or machinery dealer
• OR Customer Service Level 2 qualification and a willingness to learn about our products
• Basic working knowledge of major mechanical units e.g. engine, gearbox & axles
• Practical and not afraid of getting your hands dirty
• Computer literate. Able to quickly pick-up Mercedes Benz & internal parts systems
• Good telephone manner and able to advise customers on parts required
• Sound numeracy & literacy skills to deal with parts documentation, orders and enquiries by email
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of products to customers
• Methodical & orderly approach to work
