Design Administrator
GBP22,000
Maidstone
Fixed term contract - 6 months (potential to be extended to 9 months)
Start date - ASAP
1st stage interviews (via Teams) - ASAP
Monday to Friday - 35 hour week - 8am-4pm (some flexibility)
25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)
We are working in partnership with a marketing-leading manufacturing company in the Maidstone area who are looking for a Design Administrator join their engineering and design team on a fixed term contract. The successful candidate will be highly computer literate and will ideally have some experience with Illustrator / Photoshop / Solidworks / 3D Modelling and Technical Drawings (full training will be provided on specific processes but a basic understanding is needed.)
The successful Design Administrator will be a self-driven individual with an excellent eye for detail and accuracy.
The duties for this Design Administrator role will include but not be limited to:
Preparing and updating documents for use in the online catalogue to the latest specification
Liaising with the other members of the team if needed to fully understand the drawings or 3D models or any associated parts
Liaising with the manufacturing teams to ensure that correct fittings are used for the above documents
Viewing and using any relevant ECNs to ensure latest parts in a drawing or 3D model are usedThe successful Design Administrator will have/ be:
Basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Acrobat and Photoshop (ideally)
The ability to understand 3D models and 2D design drawings
Basic knowledge of SolidWorks and SolidWorks Composer (ideally)
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Well organised and able to manage a high volume of work efficiently, including effective prioritisation of tasks
A good team player willing to work with representatives of other departments to find legislatively-sound, pragmatic and business-appropriate solutions to issues that occurYou will be available to carry out a video interview with me prior to a first stage video interview with my client with a potential 2nd stage (face to face) with my client afterwards.
