Are you financially literate with a strong interest in working with clients in the Financial Sector?

Our client is a growing communications firm who is looking for a driven and entrepreneurial individual to join their London team

You’ll need to adapt your skills to work with a diverse portfolio of clients and will play a valuable role in supporting the new business development team

What you’ll be doing day-to-day:

  • Account managing client activity on a day to day basis
  • Coordinating PR programmes to support clients’ business objectives
  • Advising on and assisting in the preparation of communication materials
  • Supporting new business development initiatives, including pitching
  • Press analysis and summaries
  • Briefing journalists on client stories
  • Conducting background research for clients and new business
  • Organising meetings and calls with the media and analysts
  • Organising and attending press launches
  • Preparing media distribution lists for press releases
  • Conducting and compiling analyst feedback reports
  • Researching forward features

The skills you need to bring:

  • Likely to have degree or equivalent
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Financial literacy and an interest in financial services is essential
  • At least three years’ experience of communications within a PR consultancy, press office or news outlet
  • Confident relationship builder with the ability to manage client accounts well and drive new business opportunities
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and multitask while working to tight deadlines
  • Ability to think independently and creatively and exercise sound judgement
  • Strong network of contacts (journalists and advisers)
  • Strong understanding of regulatory affairs and impact on clients
  • Strong understanding of social media and trends
