Client Finance Assistant

The Role

The role’s main purpose is to support the effective finance partnering to the growing client management team, and to maintain/develop processes to support business growth. Reporting to the Client Finance Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Matching bank receipts to client projects and seeking further information where needed
  • Recording payments received in Excel and calculating commission splits
  • Liaising with agents/managers daily
  • Producing and checking of client statements through Tagmin, and submitting for review
  • Setting up payments and transfers in the bank
  • Identifying commission splits related to third party agents
  • Emailing client statements out to clients and if necessary, their accountants
  • Supporting weekly client income reviews and ensuring accuracy of the data
  • Deal with queries and provide information on an adhoc basis
  • Generating project general ledgers for clients as requested
  • Assistance with bank reconciliations for client bank accounts
  • Constantly seek improvements to existing systems and processes and implement approved changes
  • Any other ad hoc tasks within the finance function

The ideal candidate should be:

  • Studying (or working towards studying) CIMA/ACCA/ACA professional accountancy qualification
  • Have a strong academic record with first degree 2:1 or above
  • Able to demonstrate strong financial understanding and attention to detail
  • Organised, self-motivated, and focused on constantly improving (self and processes)
  • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to interact at all levels of the organisation
  • A positive character with opinions you are not afraid to voice
  • Motivated to be part of an exciting, growing business and the drive to become a key player in taking the business forward

The role is offered on a full or part time basis and hours may be split between home and the Central London office (nearest tube Oxford Circus). Office working hours are 0900-1800 or 0930-1830. Salary will depend on experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include generous holiday allowance and, after a qualifying period, healthcare. Study package TBC.
