A leading and dynamic project management firm based in Central London is looking for a HR Assistant to join their ever expanding team!

Must be super confident and have the ability to work in a really busy and pressurised environment. Looking for a minimum of 2 years HR Assistant experience within the professional services environment. Lots of scope to develop and progress with the potential to undertake your CIPD.

HR Assistant job purpose:

  • To manage joiner and leaver process
  • To provide an effective, accurate, confidential, support service to the HR Department
  • Assist HR Partner with ad hoc projects

Key HR Assistant Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of HR Department filing system
  • Act as EA to the HR Partner and Recruitment Manager
  • Co-ordinate weekly sickness absence returns
  • Produce letters for any payroll changes such as salary increases/bonuses and ensure they are passed to payroll promptly
  • Joiners and leavers- Produce offer letters/contracts and associated documents, liaising as necessary with Partners
  • Maintain joiners & leavers schedule
  • Co-ordinate all reference requests
  • Liaise with new joiners and issue Induction Packs
  • Assist with administration of the On-boarding system including the induction portal
  • Update joiner information on HR database, liaise with payroll and make up files.
  • Ensure all financial changes are sent to payroll in a timely manner
  • Gather absence information from the firm on a weekly basis
  • Ensure that HR system is up to date with accurate absence information
  • Ensure that any periods of absence of more than 7 days are supported by a Doctor’s note and HR Partner informed
  • Oversee performance management system ensuring performance review forms are sent to Partners promptly at 3,6 and 9 months after employee commences
  • Ensure any performance issues are discussed with HR Partner and oversee process by advising partners on next steps in line with policy
  • Issue Benefits documentation i.e. Private Health, Pension etc.
  • Provide advice and assistance
  • Ad-hoc projects -Assist HR Partner with research, producing reports and other ad

Key Skills Required

            Ideally Degree educated – either in HR or a business related discipline

            At least 3 years admin experience some of which should be within a HR team      

            Excellent attention to detail

            Highly organised

            Good communication skills

            Intermediate/advanced level in Word/Excel

            Experience in maintaining a HR database or similar
