This is a unique mixed role as it combines book keeping with client services contact. It would suit an experienced Accounts Assistant who is enthusiastic, cheerful and happy to speak to clients on the phone. It should be noted that this isn't 2 full time jobs rolled into 1. The bookkeeping element is to cover approx 2 half days pw and the client services is additional cover.
It's a great opportunity to join a small, tight knit team who know how to work hard and have fun, whilst remaining professional.
As well as being responsible for retaining and developing client relationships, you will also oversee all the financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate records on accounts payable and receivable, financial entries and recompilations.
The ideal candidate will:-
* Have 2/3 years book keeping/accounts experience
* Have experience of using Sage, Xero or similar accountancy package
* Have a high level of numerical skills
* Have the confidence to deal with clients
* Have excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Bookkeeper - Key Duties & Responsibilities Summary:
* Currently being outsourced in 2 half days per week
* Completing tax forms
* Managing profit and loss statements and balance sheets
* Maintaining company ledgers
* Appropriately coding payables and making payments
* Invoicing
* Preparing purchase orders
* Monitoring debtors and creditors, send regular statements and carry out credit control
* Compiling information for monthly management review
* Preparing information for year-end accounts
Client Services Co-ordinator - Key Duties & Responsibilities Summary:
* Additional cover required in the business
* Answering incoming calls and emails
* Establishing and maintaining strong client relationships
* Processing new orders, scheduling work
* Responsible for ensuring that all client work is completed as planned and communicate to the client on expected completion and delivery timescales, including any edits
* Maintain commercial awareness of time allocation for each job to ensure profit margins are maintained
* Taking briefs from clients on new jobs and ensuring that relevant jobs are booked in
* Take a proactive approach on chasing work out on proof and any client estimate follow ups
* Organising client meetings
