THE DUTIES
Based at the company's site in Birtley, your role as Commercial Administrator will see you working as a central point of contact to coordinate customer orders, ensuring customers receive products on time and that they receive the highest possible level of service.
You will therefore ensure orders are coordinated effectively from manufacture through to delivery by working closely with a range of different departments.
Your duties will include:
Liaising with customers via telephone and email to book deliveries of orders
Updating customers with any changes that need to be made to agreed delivery dates
Liaising with warehouse, production and transport teams to coordinate the availability and delivery of orders
Developing positive working relationships with internal sales and customer service teams
Reporting any problems back to the order source in a timely fashion
WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED?
To be shortlisted for the position of Commercial Administrator, you need:
To be an exceptional administrator who has worked in a similar role within a manufacturing, distribution or transport environment
To be an excellent communicator via telephone and email and be able to confidently deal with high value customers
Strong IT skills (including Microsoft Excel and familiarity with using ERP systems)
Strong organisational and time management skills
To bring a professional and proactive approach to your work
THE CONTRACT
You will receive a starting salary of up to GBP19,000
Benefits will include 25 days' annual leave (+ bank holidays), a pension scheme, on-site parking and a range of salary sacrifice schemes.
This is a full-time position based on site, whereby you will work 8am until 4pm from Monday-Friday.
