We have a great opportunity to join a growing distribution company based in Lutterworth. You will be assisting the depot stock team to ensure the depot's income is maximised by the effective and efficient purchasing, procurement, and control of stock.
Responsibilities:
Control stock levels
Appraise and manage the stock control team
Ensure working capital is kept within targeted limits
Manage and achieve stock related KPI's
Coordinate stock purchases via existing contracts - including imports from overseas
Input and process purchase orders onto the in-house system
Utilise system reports to ensure stock is received on time and in full
Communicate with depots to ensure sales orders and purchase orders are confirmed
Liaise with other departments to rectify any customer complaints related to stock
Act as key stock contact for major customers and suppliers
Actively pursue additional purchasing and procurement opportunities
Liaise with other depots for supplying and procuring stock
Liaise with members of the sales team to maximise sales opportunities
Support the customer service function as and when required
Undertake any reasonable tasks or duties assigned by the appropriate line managers from time to time, related to the effective and efficient performance of the job, and providing they are within the post holders skills and abilitySkills/Experience:
Qualified or working towards Purchasing Qualifications
Experience of multi product stocking control
Negotiation Qualifications and Experience
Strong organisation skills
Good relationships builder, with internal and external customers/suppliers
Strong IT skills
Ability to prioritise and monitor own workload
Capable of working within a fast paced, busy environment
Strong problems solver
Strong communication skillsBenefits:
