Page Personnel are supporting a fantastic NFP organisation based in Leeds who are seeking a Temporary Senior HR Officer. This is an initial temporary position of 8-12 weeks with the potential of becoming permanent upon completion. Overseeing a small HR team, the successful candidate will manage all generalist operational HR duties ranging from ER case management, recruitment campaigns and involvement with payroll right through to creation of HR strategy.

Our client is a fantastic NFP organisation based in Leeds. They provide a wide variety of services with a goal of supporting individuals within disadvantaged communities of the local area. With a relatively small headcount, the Temporary Senior HR Officer will benefit from having real influence of the overall HR impact on the wider organisation and liaise with various senior stakeholders to ensure a fantastic end-to-end service is provided.

Description

In this fast-paced and busy Temporary Senior HR Officer position, the successful candidate will be expected to;

Ensure best HR practice is achieved by advising managers on effective, fair and consistent management of staff across the organisation
Develop, implement and maintain HR policies, systems and procedures in conjunction with senior managers and external advisers, where necessary
Be the main point of contact for day to day HR issues, advice and support for all employees
Manage and co-ordinate disciplinaries and grievances throughout the organisation
Facilitate HR team meetings and meetings in relation to HR changes in a manner that promotes an environment of openness and a culture of enquiry
Accurately recording, calculating and processing all payroll data including deductions, statutory payments, expenses and pensionsProfile

The successful candidate will possess;

Proven experience of operating in a fast-paced generalist HR position
Ability to manage a variety of complex and sensitive E.R matters
CIPD qualified is preferred
Strong understanding of UK employment law legislation
Experience of coaching, influencing and building strong working relationships with business leaders
The ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage own workload efficientlyJob Offer

On offer for the successful candidate will be a salary of up to GBP28,000 plus an excellent benefits package including 29 days AL plus bank holidays. An immediate start is also on offer for candidates who are excited at the prospect of working within a leading NFP organisation in Leeds
