Purchase Administrator

We are actively recruiting a strong Purchase Administrator to join a small team in a fast paced business based in Trentham. The ideal candidate would have worked in Purchasing / Accounts for several years previously. You would be joining a small team so being able to pitch in and multi task is a key skill.

This role requires an individual who is disciplined, meticulous and be able to work independently with a minimum of supervision. Good communication skills. A pro-active and helpful manner is essential.

Key Responsibilities

* Raising purchase orders.

* Stock control

* Ordering goods in

* Chasing orders.

* Liaising with suppliers.

* Communicating with the shop floor, product design, sales & stores teams.

* Booking goods inwards/outwards on to a bespoke system

* General admin duties.

The Successful Applicant

We are looking for someone who is able to provide immediate support. The ideal candidate for the Purchasing Assistant role will have experience in a similar position, with a background in stock control/accounts

* Experience using Sage

* Good Excel skills.

* Confident in dealing with suppliers

* A good understanding of engineering demands & manufacturing processes.

* Good team player, someone who is willing to get involved with a smaller tea

Salary

* GBP20k - GBP25k (depending on experience)

* Monday to Friday

* Hours 08.30 - 17.00
