Are you a senior Events professional looking for a new challenge within a dynamic and innovative global law firm?

Our client is seeking to recruit a Global Senior Event Manager to be responsible for the overall strategy, planning and execution of industry leading in-person and virtual events on a firmwide basis. Reporting into the Director of Marketing Operations, the Global Senior Event Manager will be responsible for the leadership of the Events team and the management of large internal meetings/events, including partner retreats, practice area retreats, diversity and inclusion group meetings and other lawyer meetings, as well as trade show attendance and exhibits.

Key responsibilities will include:

Lead the Global Events Team in the development and execution of client and large internal eventsMentor and develop junior team membersDevelop and manage budgets at the events and overall firmwide levelsCollaborate with marketing teams to develop and continually refine best practices and standards across the firm for both in-person and virtual eventsIdentify, evaluate and implement technical tools to support and enhance eventsCompile estimated cost models, submit final budgets, track budget statistics and prepare reportsEstablish, monitor, manage and report on performance expectations for events and meetingsManage events and meetings with anywhere from 20 to 1,500 attendees Set up event schedules, organise and ship materials and develop transportation itinerariesNegotiate contracts and maintain relationships with vendorsCollaborate with office resources and internal support teams (e. facilities, audio/visual, travel, etc.)Coordinate with the event lead on the creation and distribution of promotional pieces and other printed materials

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in event planning from a professional services environment. You must have exemplary communication skills and be incredibly organised, and have the ability to delegate and give direction. You must be able to negotiate with vendors and be able to deal with people at all levels in a professional manner. This role will require travel both domestically and internationally (dependent on government guidelines).
