Our US law firm client has an exciting new opportunity for a Marketing Executive to join their London office. The Marketing Executive will provide high quality, marketing and business development support to the London office and its core business units and working alongside the global marketing teams on cross-border initiatives. The role will support the implementation and execution of marketing and business development activities that support the firm-wide business goals and strategies, with a particular focus on delivering successful marketing campaigns, pitch document support, client relationship development, coordinating legal directory submissions, event management, and drafting social media and other communications. This role encompasses all aspects of the marketing and business development mix, with key responsibilities including: The organisation and execution of all events: in-house, external and virtual. Assuming responsibility for all event logistics, including the agreement of objectives, coordinating briefings and preparatory meetings, producing event materials, identifying venues/platforms and speakers, attending/hosting events, and arranging postevent follow-up. Working closely with the business development, reception and facilities teams. Assisting with the drafting of pitching for new business opportunities, such as responding to RFPs, panel appointments, and bid/proposal documents. Working with internal teams to prepare materials to support business development initiatives - email alerts, advertisements, articles, blog pieces, and internal communications etc. Coordinating with the creative team to help build a strong print, digital and social media identity for marketing and business development campaigns. Helping to execute marketing campaigns relevant to clients, prospects and other offices via press releases, and social media channels. Coordinating internal communications such as our internal blog, dashboards, etc. Supporting the firm's key client development programme by understanding the firm's strategic clients, their objectives and helping to execute supporting business development activities. Assisting with the drafting and coordination of legal directory submissions (Chambers and Legal 500) and undertaking supportive research and information collection activities. Providing support on the collection and input of deal experience in the firm's database across the London office's main practice areas to ensure effective intelligence gathering. Supporting ad hoc activities within the London office, including coordinating photography sessions and updating lawyer biographies. Support the marketing manager with upholding the best practices around the firm's Client Relationship Management (CRM) system to enhance the lawyers' business development efforts, including: Inputting contacts and maintaining updates Creating and maintaining distribution lists by identifying and classifying target audiences o Preparing event invitations and distributing invitations o Recording client event attendance Recording lawyers' BD activity The ideal candidate for this Marketing Executive position will have prior marketing and business development experience in a law firm or professional services firm. You must be an enthusiastic self-starter with highly effective communication skills and a strong client service ethic. The ability to build strong and effective relationships across the business is essential, as is excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
