Head of Policy / Governance and Compliance (3-6mth contract) EC2 upto £50,000+
The role will be reporting to the Operations Director and working closely with the CEO and Trustees to lead in the development of Governance & Compliance, regulating internal processes, safeguarding and complaints procedures. You will manage audit and compliance controls across all data systems, policies and information relating to members.
Duties include:
Governance - Attending AGM and supporting Trustees & Committee Members, administering governing bodies (company and charity) and providing administration support for General Meetings
Complaints - setting up processes and procedures, investigating complaints and managing a successful resolution process
Safeguarding - Setting up standard procedures and templates, raising awareness and proving training to members
Compliance - Managing GDPR, leading internal audit and compliance checks, continuous improvement of data quality, documentation completion and policies, implementing procedures and standards raising awareness and training
Client Services - Providing advisory support to members, with regards to safeguarding policies and procedures
The successful candidate must have proven compliance, governance and managing complaints procedures and ideally experience within higher education or a membership body/association and be up to date with current legislation relating to safeguarding of children as part of this role will be to advise and support teachers, being their members
Confident communication also essential to work at executive level, along with exceptional attention to detail and development of policies and procedures essential. An interest in dance or previous experience in a dance academy hugely advantageous
