This Surrey based manufacturing firm is looking for a bright and enthusiastic Accounts Assistant to work within its very collaborative Accounts team. A fantastic opportunity ideal for a full-timer with an ACCA qualification or someone who is currently studying towards an ACCA qualification or similar accreditation. Salary £28,000 DOE plus great benefits and parking!

Accounts Assistant responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and processing supplier invoices
  • Monitoring disbursements
  • Handling all confidential information discreetly
  • Processing CHAPS, BACS and international payment transactions
  • Maintaining and answering emails in the Accounts Payable inboxes on a daily basis
  • Checking staff expenses, processing expense claim forms and processing for payment
  • Ensuring the payment cycle runs smoothly and effectively

Accounts Assistant experience required:

  • 2 years' previous experience working within a finance function in a professional services environment; ideally Accounts Payable position
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent numerical and IT skills
  • High level of accuracy with great attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accountancy packages
  • Ability and desire to work as part of a team
  • Ability to work proactively, using individual initiative

  • Adaptable and flexible
  • Good work ethic
