A leading VC firm with amazing offices in central London is looking to hire a Marketing Associate to join the busy London team.  This is a great opportunity for a smart and tech-savvy individual who will help deliver marketing communications and activities to support brand development, investment origination and relationship building with founders, investors and growing network.

The role’s areas of responsibility will include:

  • Digital marketing - Maintaining the website and supporting the redesign and delivery of a new website 
  • Social media and communications - Managing Twitter and LinkedIn accounts, creating posts, suggesting improvements and monitoring audience engagement. Drafting the newsletter and comms, managing all distribution and mailing lists
  • Events - Overseeing all aspects of organisation for a range of events, both virtual and in-person, including dinners, drinks receptions, conferences and off-sites. Managing the firm’s events calendar, CRM system and interaction with key audiences
  • Awards - Submitting entries for key awards for the firm  and portfolio companies
  • Films, imagery and podcasts - Assisting with the creation of portfolio and team films, podcasts and photography, as well as other marketing initiatives
  • Marketing materials - Maintaining and creating marketing materials, including  marketing booklet and presentations 
  • Ad hoc - Supporting interactions with agencies and suppliers, including PR, content and website/design

Qualifications and experience

  • Strong written and spoken English
  • Strong academics; high-quality bachelors degree
  • A minimum of three years in a marketing and communications roles, with a strong preference for experience within venture capital or private equity
  • Digital marketing skills - proficiency with standard CMS, Twitter, LinkedIn and email marketing systems such as WordPress, Campaign Monitor and Mailchimp
  • Experience in organising and managing events, including managing external suppliers
  • Excellent Word and PowerPoint skills, with a good eye for visual presentation
