We’ve just taken on a really exciting new role for a Compliance Associate to join a leading Private Equity firm in the West End. They have over 250 people across offices around the world, including Europe, the US and Asia.

THE ROLE

The Compliance Associate would be responsible for tracking and maintaining compliance records, logs and registers, as well as assisting with compliance reviews or audits. You’d also be responsible for Non-Disclosure Agreements, working with the deal team where necessary. You’d assist the Chief Risk Officer and broader compliance team with things like updating policies and procedures, annual certification processes, counterparty regulatory checks, and onboarding new joiners amongst other things. You’ll also need strong communication skills in order to liaise with service providers where necessary. There is the scope to get involved with implementation projects of various regulatory/legal requirements by working across teams, following up on deadlines, and enhancing reporting processes.

THE CANDIDATE

They’re looking for someone with a strong work ethic, who can work as part of a close team, but also be a self-starter. The successful candidate should be professional, demonstrate good communication and inter-personal skills, with a willingness to learn. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills are vital. The role requires the individual to be able to balance multiple tasks simultaneously across a variety of work streams. Specific compliance experience is not necessary but may be helpful. The ideal candidate will also come from a financial services background.
