PR Manager - Dubai

Our client a private equity firm with headquarters based in British Virgin Islands, London and Dubai are looking for a PR Manager to join their successful and growing team. The role will involve all facets of PR for the company, protection and promotion of the brand and constantly improving the public relations. You will work closely with the Partner, Brand & Marketing Manager and key stakeholders to ensure that all public relations initiatives are integrated into overall communication activities in the region. They are seeking an ambitious individual with excellent inter-personal, written, and verbal skills who can capture and enhance the audience.

Responsibilities:

• Regularly analyse and report on media coverage
• Help develop and manage brand identity
• Cultivate relationships with influential print and broadcast journalists
• Write and approve digital content for social media outlets
• Spokesperson within the company on communicating with the media
• Research, develop and implement PR strategies
• First point of media enquires
• Handle PR responses to a variety of situations
• Organise events such as press conferences
• Invite relevant media and journalists to events and activations
• Manage and look after all media and journalists at all events and activations
• Supervise film, photo and multi-media productions about the organisation • Writing and editing in-house magazines, case studies, speeches, articles and annual reports
• Proof reading documents
• Issuing press releases into the public domain
• Contact relevant media to drive press release subjects
• Speak to relevant media regularly to discover popular topics and request article/comment placement on a relevant topic
• Develop PR strategy

Requirements:

• Understanding and possess an interest in the Private Equity/finance & Lifestyle industries
• A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent ideally in Mass Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or Journalism
• 3 years minimum experience in public relations, either in-house or at an agency
• A strong existing network of media and journalist relationships in UAE and UK (not essential but favourable)
• Inter-personal skills are vital for developing relationships with media representatives
• Multiple stakeholder management both internally and externally
• Ability to react fast and efficiently to breaking stories that are relevant
• Ability to manage crisis PR if necessary
• Outstanding communication skills and ability to deliver PR activities
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a highly charged working environment
• Exceptional writing, research, and communication skills
• Creativity and adaptability
• Strong understanding of the target audience and industry trends
• Proficiency with computers and strong working knowledge of MS Office
• Must be presentable and smart
