Requirements:                                

Accountancy qualification: AAT/Part qualified/Qualified Chartered Accountant: Experience accounting for a Real Estate company/fund: Experience using Sage line 50

Personal attributes:                       

Confident with good communication skills; Meticulous with strong attention to detail and accuracy: Enthusiastic, pro-active. And keen to get involved in the corporate accounting for the whole Group.

Overview:

  • Provide the accounting function to the Real Estate team, preparing management and statutory accounts for each Limited company from the schedules provided by the Managing Agent. Assist the wider Group with corporate accounting and financial tasks.

Job specification:

  1. Real estate:
  • Review/analyse Managing Agent reports for completeness and accuracy and develop our own expectation of net rental income.
  • From the records prepared by the managing agent to each block of properties, prepare quarterly management accounts.
  • Prepare annual statutory accounts for filing at Companies House.
  • Review/coordinate the preparation of corporation tax returns.
  • Prepare quarterly compliance calculations for the bank.
  • Assist with ad hoc queries: to include providing information and support throughout the sales and purchases processes and addressing queries from investors and internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee the Company Secretary to ensure filings are correct and are made in good time

 

  • 2.Group Accounting: Assist the Head of Fund Accounting with day to day tasks to include:
  • Purchase Ledger – posting and payment of all invoices, dealing with P/L queries
  • Sales Ledger – preparation of all invoices, sending to clients, posting to Sage and credit control
  • Cashbook/Bank – posting transactions from bank statements and keeping bank accounts up to date for all companies on Sage
  • Reviewing and processing expenses from across the business.
  • Ad-hoc tasks as required
