We are very excited about a fantastic opportunity to join a global corporate company with stunning offices in Mayfair. Our client is seeking a polished and dynamic PA to the General Counsel. This role has come at an exciting time for the company and is a perfect position for someone who is proactive with a 'can do’ attitude and looking to work in an ever-changing schedule.

The role itself is predominantly 1:1 but you will be working in a team of PA’s who all rely on each other and cover when necessary. The candidate who fills this role must be able to anticipate need and use initiative, develop an excellent understanding of the business, handle both non-executive directors and the board of the company. The ideal applicant will be confident, calming, proactive and not shy to adjust a busy diary to suit the GC without having to ask first. You will thrive from working under pressure and always be 5 steps ahead. Importantly this role requires someone who is incredibly discreet and incredibly supportive both practically and mentally to a very busy GC.

This is a very well established but  forward-thinking company that embraces a strong and  team spirited culture. Experience working at board level in a FTSE listed company is essential and it would be ideal if you have supported a General Counsel in the past but this is not essential.. The office working hours are typically Monday to Friday, 8:45am to 5:15pm, however, flexibility is expected. Knowledge of power point and experience in producing presentations is imperative, with a minimum of 5 years experience working at this level this is an outstanding opportunity.

Key responsibilities:

  • Extensive diary management - meetings, appointments, travel and accommodation
  • Communication: telephones, correspondence, emails and letters: prioritising and responding appropriately.
  • Working closely with the CEO’s office and all other ExCo members.
  • Travel: arranging extensive international travel - planning and booking ahead, ensuring efficient use of time, good value, and convenience. Ensuing all visa requirements are checked and applied for in good time.
  • Ensuring the General Counsel is prepared for meetings, including research and preparing meeting packs where necessary.
  • Attending and taking minutes for highly confidential meetings.
  • Management of expenses for the General Counsel and processing with finance in a timely manner.
  • Preparation of all presentations and collection of materials as required
  • Filing and archiving legal paperwork.
  • Keeping systems up to date and using the most efficient technology and software: contact records, files, reports, presentations.
  • Team player and ambassador for the GC and her office at all times.
  • Positive and approachable.

Great benefits, pension and wonderful office environment.`

You will be working from the office and remotely from home during the Covid crisis however the role will be largely based in the office in the future.  Occassional remote working is supported.
