Our client is a successful international PR agency, based in lovely offices close to Kentish Town tube station.  They are looking for an office assistant to support the team and be the office linchpin for all things admin! 

This is an entry level role, ideal for someone starting their office-based career and wanting to learn and develop new skills.  You will be joining a team of around 30 people in a busy and fast paced environment. 

Reporting to and supported by the Chairman’s PA, your main responsibilities will include:

Reception

  • Be a positive first point of contact for the company either on the ‘phone or at the door
  • Answering the phone and emailing telephone messages to team
  • Welcoming guests / clients to the company and making drinks for meetings
  • Keeping the entrance area / newspaper table tidy

Administration

  • Booking cars and couriers where necessary
  • Keeping the meeting rooms tidy
  • Ensuring an adequate supply of stationery is maintained
  • Ordering printer cartridges/toners when needed
  • Keeping kitchen stocked with tea, coffee, milk etc
  • Having responsibility for and logging all company petty cash
  • Occasional ad hoc administrative work – photocopying, producing documents etc
  • Assisting the senior PA with ad-hoc projects / events / research

Person / Experience Required:

You will need to be:

  • Confident and outgoing with an engaging personality
  • Reliable, trustworthy and diligent
  • Intelligent and pro-active with lots of initiative
  • A genuine desire to help and play an important part in a small team
  • Organised!  Having the ability to maintain a task list and prioritise work is essential.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Good GCSE– minimum Maths and English Grade B
  • Educated to A level standard
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • A business / admin or secretarial qualification or diploma would be preferable
