Our prestigious UK law firm is looking for a Senior HR manager to join their team on a permanent basis, this role will be supporting two Client groups and two Business Services groups within the firm. The main responsibilities of the role are supporting the HR Director and Head of HR Operations in the development of and support of the objectives for the team, supporting the Head of HR Operations in conducting performance appraisals and mid-term reviews and 121’s for the Officers and Assistants within team, deputise for the Head of HR Operations and/or HR Director at meetings or events as required, developing, supervising, coaching and mentoring the Officers and Assistants within the team and provide feedback to Head of HR Operations and HR Director as required, supporting the HR Director to develop and manage the HR Strategy for the team and continuously enhance the services the team provides, reporting line responsibility for the Float Secretary and Word Processing Supervisor, conducting performance appraisals and mid-term reviews for both the Float Secretary and Word Processing Supervisor, working with the HR Director and Head of HR Operations to ensure a cohesive and friendly culture is maintained within the team at all times, representing the HR Team at groups or committees as required, ensuring that the Human Resources Team continues to be held in positive regard within the firm, fulfil other leadership/team management responsibilities as requested by the Head of HR Operations or HR Director, Working with Departmental Managing Partners (DMPs), Business Services Directors (BSDs), Departmental Secretarial Managers (DSMs) and others as required on talent mapping, resourcing and headcount strategies, working with DMPs, BSDs, DSMs and others as required to review working practices and consider efficiencies. Candidates must have previous experience at HR Manager level.
