Our client, a global art venture with stunning offices/ studio space in Mayfair, is looking for a proactive and self-motivated individual to join their growing team as a General/ Studio Manager. This is a company where success lies in the love and perfect execution of details; this role will ensure that the entire operation runs spotlessly and smoothly, and clients and artists have a 100% positive and impressive experience.

This General / Studio Manager position takes responsibility for the smooth running of the gallery and offices, always exceeding expectations and upping standards where possible. Responsibilities including (but not limited to):

  • Critically reviewing contracts, liaising with contractors and (re)- negotiating rates when necessary
  • Ensuring a super polished experience for all visitors, with all fixtures and spaces in pristine and presentable condition
  • Managing rotas for staff, occasionally helping in recruiting staff and interns
  • Ensure all meetings and events are running on time, meeting rooms are kept immaculate, the gallery's supplies are topped up in the kitchen and elsewhere
  • Ad-hoc administration, running your own workload and embracing any tasks that cross your desk

In this General / Studio Manager role, no day will be like another, and you will spend as much time at your desk as you will be walking about in the building. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an operations, office management or similar position and have a high level of attention to detail and high standards. You will also have excellent organisational skills and have a good knowledge of IT systems.

Salary for this General / Studio Manager position is up to £45K depending on experience. Due to the nature of the role, you will need to be flexible to work on weekends during exhibition and show times, with time given off in lieu.
