Legal Secretary:

A leading international law firm is looking for a Legal Secretary to join their team on a permanent basis.

Legal Secretary Duties Include:

  • Take on complex tasks, supporting projects and providing secretarial support.
  • Working within a fast paced environment and complying with tight deadlines.
  • Prioritising work and working within timeframes.
  • Effective mailbox management on behalf of the Partners.
  • Diary management and arranging meetings.
  • Arranging travel effectively and efficiently.
  • Electronic filing and other administrative systems with ability to store and retrieve documents.
  • Carrying out advance research/request information to provide detailed information for clients, companies and the transaction team.
  • Providing support to the wider team and maintaining high level of awareness.
  • Assist with organising events, conferences and seminars.
  • Drafting letters/ emails in a timely manner to comply with risk and compliance procedures.
  • Knowledge of Fee Earners workload.
  • Ability to manage the billing process in a timely manner.
  • Manage the production of marketing material with the BD teams.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Must have a minimum of two years' experience working as a Legal Secretary within a legal or financial firm.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to build strong relationships internally and externally.
  • Maintain discretionary at all times.
  • Confident, enthusiastic and is committed and is flexible at all times.
  • Works well under pressure as well as maintaining a professional attitude.
  • Identify potential problems and provide innovative solutions.
  • Strong team player.
  • Willingness to broaden knowledge and develop skills further.
  • Attention to detail and a desire to take ownership.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
